I'm 18 and i want to start riding a motorbike. I've been on website after website but none of them have clearly set the rules out for me - so i'm here hoping some of you guys can

I've just recently turned 18, and i've got no cbt, no previous experience - literally nothing.

What is the fastest bike i can ride ( i won't be getting the fastest, just out of interest) at this age if i were to take my motorcycle test?
I'm under the impression that it's 125cc until i've had 2 years experience, or is that completely wrong?

As I understand it, thankfully I passed my test long before all this malarkey came into force, at 18 you are unable to take any of the fast access tests so you are restricted to a 33bhp bike for 2 years once you have passed the cbt – that will mean a larger bike than a 125 is legal (many can be restricted).

Bikes that are or can be restricted to 33bhp – remember if you go bigger it will be slower than a lightweight, and the insurance will hurt more.
